2021 Board of Review

The Monitor Township Board of Review for 2021 will be held at the Monitor Township Hall, 2483 Midland Road, Bay City Michigan on the dates listed below.  Members and attendees will be required to wear a mask at all times during the proceedings and follow recommended public gathering state guidelines. Virtual attendance is available.  Both in-person and virtual appointments for assessment appeals are required and can be made by calling (989) 684-7203.  Appeals can also be made in writing and mailed to: 2483 Midland Road, Bay City MI  48706, Emailed to: and/or deposited in our secure 24-hour drop box.  The required Petition Appeal Form #618/L-4035 can be found online at our website or can be mailed to you if a timely request is received. 

NOTE: FOR ALL APPEALS: (in-person, virtual and/or written appeals) the Petition Form #618/L-4035 and all supporting documentation MUST be received in our offices on or before Friday, March 5, 2021 by 4:00 pm.

If necessary, The Board of Review will also meet: Monday, March 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.

It is suggested that you call for a record review with the Assessor prior to the March Board of Review.  The tentative ratios for each class of real and personal property for 2021 are as follows:

Virtual Meetings. If future guidance requires us to only meet by electronic means, an updated public notice will be posted not less than 18 hours prior to the meeting at the township hall and on the website at as required by PA 228 of 2020. The notice will include the specific telephone number and/or internet address to attend via phone or computer and offer information to assist to those with inadequate access or skills required to participate.
