NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE REQUEST FOR SPECIAL USE PERMIT

TO: THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF MONITOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT a Public Hearing will be held before the Planning Commission of the Charter Township of Monitor, on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the meeting room or the Township Hall at 2483 E. Midland Road, Bay City, Michigan 48706, to consider the request of Michigan Sugar Company located at 2600 S. Euclid Ave., Bay City, Michigan, for the issuance of a special use permit to construct an industrial building above the normal height requirement of three (3) stories or 45 feet. The applicant is requesting a special use permit to construct an addition to property described below, which has a height of 68.5 feet.
The property upon which the new structure is requested to be placed is generally known as 2600 S. Euclid Ave., Bay City, Michigan 48706. The tax parcel number is 09-100-038-200-710-01. The parcel of property is, as previously indicated located within the Charter Township of Monitor, County of Bay and is zoned I-2, Industrial District.
You are welcome to attend and inspect the application at the Monitor Township Hall, 2483 East Midland Road, Bay City, Michigan, Michigan, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. During those hours, written comments will be received at the Monitor Township Office prior to the time of the hearing.
The Charter Township of Monitor will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and readers for printed materials being considered at the hearing, to individuals with disabilities who are present at the hearing, upon ten days’ notice.
