Mackinaw Road Bridge Reconstruction

Beginning Monday, April 15th, the contractor will be setting up single lane closures on both eastbound and westbound US-10 from I-75 to 7 Mile Rd. These closures will be set up to finish up the permanent maintenance crossovers on US-10, and finish removing the temporary crossovers from last year. Currently, the contractor is expecting to complete the Mackinaw Rd bridge demolition on Friday, May 10th, and Saturday, May 11th, between the hours of 9pm and 5am. During the demolition, US-10 traffic will be maintained on the interchange ramps at Mackinaw Rd. After demolition is complete, all of the Mackinaw Rd ramps will be closed to traffic and detoured using Garfield Rd exit and Salzburg Rd. There will also be single lane closures on eastbound and westbound US-10 during the bridge construction. This traffic pattern will remain in place until the new bridge and roundabouts are build, which is to be completed by November 1st.
