*Authority of the March Board of Review: Current Year Assessment Appeals, Timely and Late Filed Small Business Taxpayer Exemptions, Denial of a Timely or Late Filed EMPP Exemptions, Property Classification Appeals, Appeal of a Denial by the Assessor of Qualified Ag Exemption, Taxable Value Corrections, Disabled Veteran Exemptions, Poverty Exemptions, Land Assessment of New IFT Property. NOTE: Principal Residence Exemption Appeals CANNOT be considered.
Virtual Meetings. * If future guidance requires us to also meet by electronic means, an updated public notice will be posted not less than 18 hours prior to the meeting at the township hall and on their website at www.monitortwp.org. The notice will include the specific telephone number and/or internet address to attend via phone or computer and offer information to assist to those with inadequate access or skills required to participate.

Our department may be able to address your question and/or concern without you having to appeal to the March Board of Review.
Supporting Documentation. NOTICE: FOR ALL APPEALS: Written Appeals: Petition Form #618/L-4035 and all supporting documentation MUST be received in our offices on or before Friday, March 10, 2023, by 4:00 pm. If you have an in-person appointment you are welcome to submit your supporting documentation at the time of your appointment, but a brief summary of your appeal must be documented prior to your arrival on Petition Form #618/L-4035. Petition forms can be found at www.monitortwp.org under Departments, Assessor, “Forms” section. If you need a form mailed to you, please contact (989) 684-7203.
The Charter Township of Monitor Board will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting or public hearing upon 10-day notice to the Charter Township of Monitor Board.
